Dear Parents and carers
Last week we had a very busy fun filled week in nursery. We have had lots of visitors into our nursery leading some fab learning sessions with the children. From Kickstars football on Monday, Music minors on Wednesday and the Farm on Wheels on Friday. We feel so lucky to be able to offer these extra learning experiences to children and a big bonus that there is no extra charge to parents!!
We have also had lots of fun in between these teacher led sessions including science lessons, baking buddies and Forest school. Thank you to all the staff for making everyday fun in nursery and lpanning such great experiences.
It was also great to see everyone wearing green on Thursday- thank you for raising awareness of Mental Health and how important it is to look after your own mental health.
Half Term
As if it is half term next week!! Term time funded children are not expected in unless sessions have been prebooked. We do have availability for extra sessions and for older siblings if anyone is needing childcare at all. Please just ask a member of staff to check for you. It is also bank holiday on the Monday, so nursery will be closed- with no charge to parents either.
Nursery
Forest school
We had a very busy forest school session last week. We let the children decide what to do in the woods. Some wanted to practice with the hand drill, others wanted to look for mini beasts and most wanted to have a go at climbing the trees. It was great seeing how confident the children had become in the woods, each week it gets easier for us adults as children fully understand the boundaries and like to lead their own learning. Super proud of the preschool children this term. Next week is group B’s turn to the woods.
Term dates
May half term- Monday 27 May till Friday 31 May
Summer Holidays- Monday July 22 to Tuesday 3 September.
Preschool graduation- Friday 19 July 4pm-5pm @ St Andrews Church
Yours sincerely
