We’ve been here since January 1989, making us one of the most experienced providers in Telford. As a Registered Charity, we’re dedicated to serving you and your children. All our income goes back into improving our services and facilities for the children and developing projects to support families in our community.

We like to keep things relaxed and informal. Instead of uniforms, which might look smart but feel too much like an institution, we prefer a more ‘home from home’ atmosphere. Our main goal is to ensure that children are happy and secure in our care.

OFSTED conducts regular, independent inspections, and their reports are always available for you to read. You can find these reports at our nurseries or on the OFSTED website (see links). This will help you make an informed decision about the right nursery for your child.

Our Vision

To transform the lives of the children and families we work with, through creating a nursery which feels like home with an extended and supportive family environment.

Our Ethos

Since we first opened in January 1989 with only a few team members and a handful of children, we have always maintained a strong family ethos, a home-from-home feel. It is something we believe to be at the heart of Halesfield Day Nursery and vital to our setting.

We want the best for all our children, families, and our team. We have a strong emphasis on building a healthy team as we believe that: Happy Team = Happy Children = Happy Families. It is not rocket science, but we try our best to create a setting in which our team know that they are valued and supported, and not just there to do a 'job'. A healthy, happy team creates a healthy, happy nursery environment and a positive friendly atmosphere for the children to flourish in.

Nursery And the Environment

We care deeply about the wider environment and the future of our children. We show our commitment through several initiatives:

Welcoming the Use of 'Real Nappies'

We encourage the use of reusable nappies. For more information, visit Shropshire Nappy.

Minimizing Waste and Maximizing Energy Efficiency

We continuously strive to reduce waste and improve our energy efficiency practices.

Safe Disposal of Disposable Nappies

We ensure proper and safe disposal methods for disposable nappies to reduce environmental impact.

We are proud to have recently achieved the Eco-Schools Green Flag award, which helps raise environmental awareness among the children. This accreditation reflects our dedication to creating a sustainable future for our community.
