Your child’s daily routine in nursery will vary according to their age; young babies follow their own routine from home, and we work closely with you to ensure that this happens.
As children grow, their daily routine changes – needing less sleep and eating at more conventional mealtimes for example. The basic routines for each age group are displayed in the nursery – please ask to see them when you visit.
We are keen to encourage children's natural desires for physical activity and build this into each and every day across all age groups.
Our nursery has two large outdoor play areas with surfaces that enable them to be used all year round. We have a range of fixed and portable play equipment and areas of safety surface for climbing equipment.
As well as access to outdoor areas daily children are encouraged to take part in the daily mile- this gives us all a chance to let off steam and run, jog or walk for 15 minutes each day. We also run weekly forest school sessions for our preschool children where we are able to visit local woodlands or Madeley Orchard and explore the natural environment.
As the weather cannot always be relied upon, we have indoor soft play areas and many resources for physical development such as Top Start through Play, Sticky Kids activities and the BBC Education Service range of music and movement programmes.
We are regularly inspected by OFSTED who make judgements about:
We are used to having very good OFSTED reports and strive to ensure that this continues. At our last inspection, we were rated GOOD across all areas of learning.
“Overall the quality of the provision is outstanding”
When choosing a nursery for your child, please take the time to read the OFSTED reports of each setting you are considering. For our full reports please click on the following links:

Our nursery is designed specifically for young children, ensuring a very safe place for your child. We maintain strict hygiene rules in our toilet and nappy changing areas, setting a good example for the children and minimizing the spread of germs.
Our meals are homemade on site by our own chef, with a menu tailored to accommodate dietary needs. We carefully select ingredients from local suppliers, ensuring freshness and supporting our local businesses.
Access to our building is tightly controlled via our biometric fingerprint system and pin code access. Only authorised individuals can enter, ensuring the safety of all children.
Your child’s welfare is our top priority. If we have any concerns during the day, such as the onset of illness, we will contact you or a nominated person (e.g., grandparent). If necessary, we may ask you to collect your child due to illness.
Prescribed medicines can be administered at your request, with a Medicine Authority form for detailed instructions. We keep Paracetamol Suspension on the premises for emergencies, and will always try to contact you before administering any dosage.
We understand the importance of a smooth transition when your child joins us, no matter their age. FREE ‘settling-in’ visits are essential, and there’s no set number of visits required—however, at least two visits are typically needed before starting. These visits help ensure your child feels comfortable and allow you to get to know us better.
We are dedicated to creating a nurturing, safe, and supportive environment where your child can thrive.
We believe that all children are individual, capable, and competent learners. They are naturally inquisitive, curious, active, and adventurous. When trusted and loved every child will reward us with an invitation into their imaginative, creative world.
